Battlefield 2 Morons

Urgh!

What idiots!

I’m trying to patch my Battlefield 2 game for the latest updates, and it gives the error:

“You need 3000Mb space on your hard drive to run this patch.”

It’s clearly talking about my C: drive, which is basically Windows plus a bit of spare space. Not only is the patch sitting on a different drive (with 17Gb spare), but so is the game!

Harry Potter and the Unsuitable Scenes For Young Children

Saw the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Very good, but I was a bit concerned. In the UK, it’s a 12A certificate, so any child (of any age) can see it if accompanied by an adult. Presumably this is to pander to the kiddies who read Harry Potter.

There were some very young children in the audience, and I didn’t think it was wholly suitable for them, particularly the final scene with Harry, Worm-Tail and You-Know-Who.

Still, if Alec Guiness can cut a man’s entire arm off with a lightsaber and get the film a PG certificate…

Barbie?!?

While watching the adverts before the new Harry Potter (and the Goblet of Fire), I saw an advert that chilled me to the bone.

Girls Aloud are designing outfits for Barbie.

There’s a good Internet acronym that sums up exactly how I felt. WTF?!?

The whole world’s gone mad. Mad, I tell you!

Am I the only one who doesn’t find those Paramount Comedy channel links funny?

It’s not just that they only seem to have four jokes, it’s also that they usually talk over audio gags at the end credits of other shows, indicating beyond all shadow of doubt that they are pre-recorded and computer delivered.

Ironic really. A comedy channel with the least funny links between shows.

When did PC manufacturers stop giving you basic stuff with your new PC?

I’m talking about reall y basic stuff here. Like the operating system installation CD (which I’ve paid for), or the manufacturer’s disk for the ATA hard drive.

Seriously.
