Saw the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Very good, but I was a bit concerned. In the UK, it’s a 12A certificate, so any child (of any age) can see it if accompanied by an adult. Presumably this is to pander to the kiddies who read Harry Potter.
There were some very young children in the audience, and I didn’t think it was wholly suitable for them, particularly the final scene with Harry, Worm-Tail and You-Know-Who.
Still, if Alec Guiness can cut a man’s entire arm off with a lightsaber and get the film a PG certificate…
